Floquet nodal rings and nodal spheres characterized with the quantum metric!
Our new work about:
Floquet-engineering of nodal rings and nodal spheres and their characterization using the quantum metric
is now published in Physical Review Research!
We show that we can characterize nodal defects throught the quantum metric, or Fubini-Study metric, which is a gauge-invariant quantity associated with the quantum distance between different states in a parameter space. The quantum metric can provide an observable signature even when the Berry curvature and other conventional topological responses are absent.
