My Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action on Topological Effects in Bosonic LAttices (TEBLA) officially starts today!

The project will focus on topological quantum many-body systems at a fundamental level, to investigate how topology affects collective phenomena such as lasing in nanoscale photonic systems. This study could lead to new miniaturized light sources with bright coherent beams whose important properties are made particularly robust by utilizing topological concepts. The work is theoretical but will be directly relevant for the experiments performed in the host group (lead by Prof. Päivi Törmä at Aalto University), any new findings can thus be readily tested.
